Looking for no frills but well cooked Chinese food we had reasonable expectations...we are not fussy and have eaten road side meals with locals and sat in small town hawker markets, my mother is Chinese Malaysian so my expectations of a good meal in SE Asia are pretty well grounded. On arrival we sat underneath paper oregami cranes only barely... More

Langkawi is our comfort destination and we visit every 1-2 years, all the way from London. We always stay at the Datai (which is absolutely brilliant!!!) and on every trip make the effort to drive all the way across the island to Fat Mum, on most trips more than once! The food is authentic, fresh and very very tasty. It... More

We ordered the special hot-pot dinner one day andvance. Everything was fresh and tasty. Atmosphere is very cosy. No European dishes around :-) More

It took 3 attempts to get to this restaurant. It had been closed for a couple of nights. The reviews had been very impressive. My wife & I went and were disappointed. The food certainly did not meet the standard expected based on the reviews. OK is the best I can say. More

We visit Langkawi every year and this is our favorite place. The food is what you wish YOU could cook in your own home - our favorites are the deep fried tofu, stir fried bean sprouts, deep fried squid (kids' favorite) but there are plenty of choices - steamed fish, chicken with cashews amongst them. Decor is el fresco -... More

We arrived about 6:30pm. We were the first ones but restaurant filled up quite soon after. Looked like a family business. Husband took orders and wife cooked, so you must be willing to wait for your food. Taste was better than other chinese restaurants we tried in Pantai Cenang. Ordered fish (frozen snapper), squid, vegetables, chicken. Came up to MYR95.... More

When we arrived at 7.30pm for dinner, there was absolutely NO ONE at the restaurant. Hubby and I were both apprehensive but though maybe it was raining earlier on and thus the quietness. Fat mum and her husband was sitting out by the table and when we arrived, they quickly stood up and welcome us, so we couldn't be rude... More

It's our 2nd times to visit this restaurant. It's has been hidden inside by the rapid development over Pantai Cenang area. The dishes is just taste like mum's cook food. It's really worth to give it a try and the price is reasonable compare to others seafood restaurant! More
