Great restaurant where local kids are given a chance to learn the skills of the hospitality industry. Food is really well priced and delicious, and the service is friendly and upbeat. Try the Creme Caramel - delicious!

Cooked and served by trainees trying to improve their lot in life so its for a good cause as well as good food. Peter the Aussie manager is a great mine of information on all things Vietnam. And the beer...

I passed by and read comments people had left there on a board and decided to spoil myself spend a little bit more than usual and have a good seafood meal. I was not disappointed, the food was delicious!
I found out later that this is really a trainings restaurant that gives young people the opportunity to go and find...

Just had lunch in the Laugh Cafe and it was really delicious. The Cau Lau was great but the pork wontons were really special and, as the owner described, very addictive. Sorry we only discovered this place today as we leave Hoi An tomorrow and would love to try out a few more of their dishes. Service was also very...

Thank you for your kind review. Yes, we are not in a touristy street so we are happy that you found is, even off out was on the last day of your stay.
The nice thing about out location is the constant activity of the local people, with scarcely another tourist in sight :-)

We are very pleased that you enjoyed our food.
It is true that our trainees are not super-confident. They are still learning. When their confidence grows, they leave Laugh Cafe. That means that our staff are always going to be a little shy.
It is the encouragement and understanding of our customers that helps them grow.

We went to eat something here as it is recommeded on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. I ordered a fish in a clay pot and I received a huge portion, which I hardly managed to finish. My husband ordered a stake with fried potatos and said it was OK. Well...I guess it all depends what you order :-)
The food was delicious, the beer was fresh, and the staff were friendly. There are many dinning options in Hoi An, but I would highly recommend Laugh Cafe. The restaurant also provides opportunities for vocational training to local Vietnamese so you can be sure to feel good about supporting a good cause.
After being recommended a cooking class with hotel that had a set menue o ventured out in search of others!!! I found laughing cafe! You are able to choose any 4 dishes from the menue and staff are nice enough to tell you if you will be able to find ingredients in your own country!! Big help!!! Make sure your...

This restaurant is staffed by trainees under an Australian NGO programme. They were very nice and polite, and the food was good. We particularly enjoyed the squid with lemongrass in banana leaf.
