My wife, brother and his wife went here when we couldn't find the restaurant we were looking for. The owner sold us on coming in for dinner. It was the right decision. Wonderful , inexpensive food with friendly, attentive, family service. If Guy Fieri was going to Urgup, this would be his first stop.

Great food, friendly service in a nice simple setting. I'm not normally one to venture to too many local restaurants unless they have been recommended but kardesler was a gem of a find. The shorba was great as was the bread served with it. We made it a point to go back and eat here twice during our stay. Even... More

Tasty loczl food, stews, soups and breads, for very cheap prices. This is the kind of mom and pop place I look for when I travel.

Really excellent beef tandir – especially as it was quite a chilly evening and it was served sizzlingly hot, almost looked alive!

I have never written a restaurant review, but food was so good here I thought I should share. You could blink and pass this place as it is not fancy, but the food is so worth the visit. The best food by far we had in all of Turkey. The owner was friendly and helpful. We ordered the lamb tasti... More

This restaurant was highly recommended by my cousin who went and ate there last year, and we were glad that we followed her advice ! This small restaurant has an attitude "its possible" which makes it an amazing place to eat... The family run restaurant is ready to bend and twist their cooking around your order so that you get... I was hungry and the proprietor was a good salesman, but i was disappointed with the stew I ordered. It came in a cute little container sealed with bread, but it was cold and greasy. The accompanying bread was good however, so I ate that. I think I'd skip it the next time around and go somewhere else

Good rustic stews served from the cooking pot sealed with dough lids. Complimentary glasses of tea from the owner Mehmet when we passed in the morning on a stroll round Urgup. Fine display of paper napkins inscribed by visitors.

We were lured into this tiny place by the owners chat as we walked along the street. Normally not taken in by those plying their wares along the road, his approach of having a great display of the local cuisine ... And reviews of his restaurant to show you depending on what country you were from lured us. The four... More

The soup was great. We left very filled and for a very reasonable price. Kid-friendly too (like most places in Turkey). Service was jolly but very casual (they forgot the salad and our water - I had to go get it!). But it wasn't a big deal. The place has notes from patrons from all over the world hanging on... More
