We visited Varkala in January and regularly stopped here for a coffee in the morning. We loved the chilled out atmosphere, the view from the cliff and the puppies playing on the grass nearby. Will definitely stop by again if we visit Varkala next year!

It's impossible to enjoy (or even drink) a coffee with the most eye-watering, stomach-churning smell wafting about in front of the coffee machine. The man behind the counter said it was spilt milk when a couple complained. They suggested it was rotting flesh. At this point, I paid and left my coffee behind me. Man, it was a TERRIBLE smell.... The coffee is ok - but not more. When we where there - it was not very clean... The fresh food drinks are good and the prices are also o.k.

The coffee here is good alright, if a little pricy compared to other places. Even though it's good coffee, we gave up after 3 mornings. While waiting what seemed an age for our coffees each morning, there were aggressive dogfights that nobody seemed too bothered about. Very aggressive dogfights. If you're someone who needs a caffeine fix to get your... More

We bought two "frappes" - way overpriced and not very tasty. The place was dingy and staff were mediocre. Definitely not the best Varkala has to offer in my opinion.

I worked there 5 days. The next 5 weeks I spend a couple of hours there every morning. It's a good place to meet new people and you can get the best coffee in Varkala there - no... the best coffee in India.
