Super super place. Love the feel where uncle cooks and aunty makes jams and pickles and preserves. The food was out of this world! Especially the pork belly! Also the strawberry crumble was to die for !
Do visit @fatplatecafe the next time you are in Manali for lip smacking delicacies crafted by Chef Anubhav! You will be greeted by the warm Rati aunty @ratishomemade who also whips up some yummy artisanal jams, spreads, and pickles made from the freshest ingredients in...the valley! Oh! Did I mention how gorgeous this cafe is? Things I ate were the Caprese Salad, Khao Suey, Methi Malai Paneer, Laccha Paratha. The Sangria suggested by Chef Anubhav was delicious!More
This evening was something else.... The place has a soul of its own. As u enter, it is a riot of flowers. The owners host u like personal guests. Rati Aunty as she's known, has a flare at fruit preservation, her jams n pickles are...iresistable. Anubhav, the son is an exceptional Chef. Awesome place.. must visitMore
One of the most beautiful restaurants visited in Manali, a must go for everyone. The food is so fresh and all their drinks etc everything is just really well made. I would def recommend this place to everyone who visits Manali.
My Fiancé is living in australia so on the occasion of my birthday he booked a table for us. He also asked the chef to provide a cake. So they offered him a option of walnut dates cake. My patner even asked them if they...don’t deal with cakes, they can order it from a near by bakery and he will be taking care of all the expensives but they promised him that they’ll be able to provide one. But what they provided us was a normal sponge cake with no fillings no walnuts and no dates “Just a normal sponge cake”. why i am stressing on this is beacuse they charged him 1500 for this. Seeing a client from foreign don’t mean that you have to make a fool out of him and over charge him for everything. And the café people should definitely learn some hospitality basic’s. If your clients is booking a table and making a bill of good amount bill then at least the cafe should provide a on the house cake. If you can’t provide one at least dont make such fake promises. I had a very disappointing experience with this cafe. I am also attaching a picture of the cake it looks like it has been decorated by a 5 year old.More
Stunning exterior and interior. Pleasant garden view. Humble staff to greet you. And food with excellent taste. A good place to Visit for your meals . Prices were reasonable too .
We had ordered for pasta, khow suay, strawberry ice cream and chocolate mousse at lunch, with Kati Patang lager beer. Service was decent and food was good too.
Ok kind. Heard a lot before going. Except few dishes rest of them were just ok. Nothing great to write. Trout in Mustard was the best.
I have visited once before where we were very happy with the food and service. However, this time the service was very slow. We only came for dessert which was the ice cream. We ordered the strawberry icecream which was overly sweet this time, the...server recommended the blackcurrant ice cream and served us an orange ice cream. The ice creams were not kept at the right temperature due to which it had small pieces of ice in it.More
Overall experience was awesome 👌 Ambience (3.5) (Basis of manali best cafe's) It was greenery ambience with varity of dittinng areas. We have choosen the best one which is outside front open lawn. The surrounding is full of beautiful flowers. They also have inside sitting...area other central hall and other side hall. Also, there is another lawn area beside cetral hall. There is one side lawn which is not maintained. The place also have home made or natural jam and other items which is also good. Food (4.5) One of the item was so delecious which is mentioned in the last. The best thing is the item which are prepared are coming first. We Had plum juice (2.5) which is like cough syrup, Chicken ceaser salad (3) which is fine. The chicken was somewhat cold which is the dish part but I prefer hot one. Grilled breast chicken (3) which also fine Veg burger with complimentary fries 🍟 (3) which is normal, We have veg soup (3.5) which is also nice, In the desert we had waffle (4) with ice cream. It was yummy. On the top dish was home style chicken🐔 (5). It was so amazing and tasty. The main star point was it was so soft that by touching the chicken is break into pieces and also so well cooked. The gravy was also good. Some other folk order other things and we are full. But after tasting the dish. We other bread for ourself too.More
Your experience will vary hugely depending on whether the owners are there or not. The first time we came, the owners were there and both the food and service was above average. Reassured, we visited for dinner a few days later for a totally different...experiences. The owners were not there and we were seated for about 30 minutes without any service of any kind, menus, water or enquiring for an order. In the interim I there’s we’re seated and their orders taken. Eventually we took the menus ourselves. And then went to the kitchen to place the order. The waiter told us that he will take our order only after he had served the others. Eventually the owner landed up and finally our order got taken. I did happen to glance into the kitchen when I went to place the order. I am sure things are fine when the owners are there, but my glance did not inspire confidence. It was too late to go anywhere else so we did modify our order to minimise risk. Your mileage will vary (as ours did between the first and second visit) but if service standards slip so dramatically in the absence of the owner it’s likely to be the tip of the iceberg and other even more critical parameters might slip even More.More
I went with my family including a toddler who was most disappointed (more than us). Poor hospitality. Good trout fish. Ok burger But rest nothing was good. Chocolate cake was the worse i have ever had. If you tell them something is off in it...they will not agree instead will eat your portion of the dessert and will charge for the same.More
Very beautiful spread out with exotic flowers all around. Ambience is just mesmerising. Plum trees are full of plums and vibes are aesthetic. We ate fallen plums off the ground which were juice dripping delicious.
Great place! Bacon wrapped chicken is the star! Rati Auntie and her family have done an excellent job maintaining the place - be it quality of food, vibe or decor!
