Food was just ok. Slightly overpriced compared to other restaurants on Moorea. More

I wish I had read all reviews prior to attending this restaurant. Although the service was friendly, the food was poor quality and the prices were high, even compared to other restaurants in Tahiti. Both my husband and I ordered the Entrocote (New York Steak) and the cut was chewy, with so much fat, half the meal was left on... More

Had dinner on our last night in Tahiti at the Blue Banana. Prices were great compaired to the more touristy places. Food and service were excellent. We really appreciated the time our waitress spent going through the menu. She also managed the balance between making sure we had what we needed and not pestering us really well. Being right on... I recommend dining over the water to avoid the noise and chaos inside. It's a relatively small outside area; a pier, with railings and a table on each side, linen tablecloths and napkins. The waiters were harried but eventully found a staff member that spoke English (though we were eager to try our recently learned French) to help us with... More

what a great spot! i believe it's the chef from the "old" pink coconut at marina taina. he does an amazing job, a sophisticated local-style cuisine, with great pizzas to boot! great atmosphere, great wine (a rarity in french polynesia, unless you want to pay top dollar), and a HUGE lunch with 20 of your closest friends, great food &... We were told of this place on the last night of our trip, what a great choice! The service and food was fantastic, quick and with a smile even though we didn't understand some of the french language on the menu, they translated, their small steak turned out to be a huge (NZ beef ) good choice, we don't get... We were staying at the Manava Resort and although the Manava is spectacular (brand new), unfortunately they did not have their liquor license yet. It was also a Sunday and all stores were closed and we didn't want to pay the taxi fare to get back into town. So, we decided to take a walk to "see what we see".... More
