Cafe San Pedro is housed right in one of Cartagena's most charming squares. The restaurant itself has the feel of a Spanish colonial mansion, with high ceilings and windows. The service is probably some of the slowest anywhere I've been; it took about 1.5 hours to get our orders. The menu is an odd combination of asian inspired dishes alongside... More

We visited Cafe San Pedro on our first night in Cartagena. If only all of the restaurants had been this good! The setting for dinner is spectacular, seated in the square beneath the imposing facade of the Convento de San Pedro. In many restaurants, the food would fail to live up to this setting... fortunately this was not the case... More

Absolutely great food, I normally do not eat fish but I have to say that over there was delicious. The restaurant is in the middle of the old Cartagena , the atmosphere is just perfect. Every dish in this high class joint is prepared with utmost attention to detail. Outstanding service. best Asian food you will find anywhere in Cartagena ! The place has a very upscale feel to it and the price is very reasonable. Outdoor seating adds an extra charm and the presence of the chapel lends a majestic feel to the diner.... More

Don't even think of ordering wine. You will pay 5 times what you would pay for the same bottle of cheap Chilean wine in a restaurant in the States. Order by the glass and you really get riped off as your glass will get filled with 4 sips of wine. The food is good but again no bargain. Years ago... More

We liked this place, it has a better location, great outside ambience away from the street vendors and even prices out more competitively than other local restaurants with less imposing locations. We had pumpkin soup, calamares with a spicy salsa, thai fish and fish with aji creole sauce. The aji creole sauce wasn't particularly brimming with flavour but apart from... More

This is the place to go for a bit of an upscale lunch. I had feared it would be a bit of a tourist trap. But I was pleasantly surprised by the food, service and ambiance. The restaurant has a very large menu - and even a sushi bar. I had been walking in Old Town Cartagena for most of... More
