Loved our experience at this new restaurant. The chef seared the amazing tuna tataki right in front of us. The restaurant is very small & quaint. Waitstaff, especially, Oscar was fantastic. Highly recommend for dinner - better than a lot of the old stand bus that are cited in every travel article you read. More

You know when you feel gooooo-oood from the moment you walk in? When for some inexplicable reason you feel you will need an extra star to properly recognize the experience. Well, this is Salou.  Outstanding personable and at the same time efficient service with a genuine smile (Oscar, thank you). Lovely atmosphere: authentic and unique at the same time.  The... More

Salou absolutely deserves the #1 ranking in Cartagena. My friend and I went there last night and had one of the best meals of our trip and most certainly the best one so far in Cartagena. The Original Ceviche was simple, fresh and delicious. I even strayed away from seafood to have the Lomo (filet mignon where I'm from) and... More

On a search for the perfect Ceviche, we found it on our first night in Cartagena. It doesn't get any better than Salou for original interpretation of regional fish cuisine. The restaurant is difficult to find (we were on foot), especially with changes in phone number not updated on Internet info. But it is worth the effort. Signature dishes include... More

We went for dinner to Salou as it should be one of best in Cartagena. Definitely, it is NOT. The appetizer /tuna tataki/ was excellent. As main dish we chose steak and sea bass. Steak was very good too. Sea bass (prepared in some crust) was too salty (which is somehow tendency of local restaurant to overuse salt) but what... More

Try it, you will not be disappointed at all. Ceviches the best, great wine selection and not that expensive compared with other places in Cartagena. Small , only 6 _7 tables or so. Reserve in advance is recommended. More

This new restaurant has set a new standard for us when it comes to seafood. Flavors were bright, complex, and surprising. We ordered what was perhaps too much food for two people (ceviche con cremosa, ceviche pica pepa, tuna tataki, salmon tartare, calamari fritos, and two dumpling desserts with nutella and dulce de leche), but we didn't leave a morsel... I came to this restaurant after read some good critics at tripadvisor and I wasn't disappointed. The restaurant has good plates. It's a mixture of internacional cuisine and Cartagena's cuisine. Something different and tasteful. I recomend Tuna Tataki. My dessert was very, very good too! Unfortunately I don't remember its name, but it was made of "Dulce de Leche" (a... More

We wanted to go have dinner there, but upon arrival the owner explained to us that the restaurant could not open its doors that evening due to the fact that the electricity had fallen out and they had to throw away all of the food. Of course, we were bummed, but it was out of their control. They recommended us... More
