We were wandering Pub Street and The Passage looking for dinner and saw this just across the way. It looks like an ideal French Colonial Khmer restaurant. We had not read any reviews, but going off the general appearance and menu, we were highly optimistic. Appearances are deceiving - It was bad. I hate to give a poor review, but... More

I had 2 great meals there... the set menu and a Khmer Kreung. I'd highly recommend both. More

Has this friendly place been damned by a mention in a guide book? Lots of foreigners and hard to tell whether they were as bemused as we were by the very mediocre food served! Do not go expecting anything of note other than the customary sweet-natured service. More

Defined as 'award winning' from the LP, we tried this restaurant on our last evening in SR (ie after trying local food in a few other places). To our surprise, we had our worst food experience in cambodia. Food comes 're-heated', the amok was tasteless, the veggies were average and we didn't even try the pork as it looked a... More

The restaurant environment quite clean and located by the road side across the pub street. We had vege spring roll and amok fish set..the spring roll was ok, so does the amok fish. This restaurant was recomannded by our hotel staff for good amok fish, but we think it just OK not that great...however I like the mango smoothie really... More

My friends and I tried this restaurant based on a favorable review in Frommers. We were not disappointed and agree that it puts fancier restaurants to shame. We ordered a sampling platter which included beef loc lac. The portions were just right for 4 women with moderate appetites. Seems to be popular with families. More

We had a really relaxed evening. Great food and wonderful service. There are many " western restaurants" unfortunately in Siem Reap. This one, was very attentive, fun and served reasonably good Mojitos. The platter was very fresh and my wife had the spring rolls and the squid. The squid came with too much batter but there you go. Always go... More

I am in my second month in Cambodia, and this is the restaurant I return to daily. I love the calamari, cooking classes were also fun, the staff is friendly, service is quick, and it is consistently high quality food. All the restaurant's in Siem Reap have value priced meals. Terrace of the Elephant's, which I chose, was expensive, but... More

Lonely Planet has obviously gotten this one wrong. Although the restaurant itself is nice to dine in, the food left a lot to be desired. The size of the meals were tiny for the price they charged. The Amok was certainly not great at all but to be fair the 5usd soup was quite good and a big portion certainly... More
