If you are looking for a nice restaurant and meal in the Munising area, then make the drive out to this place. But call first! As I said they are the only valid option and they don't have a lot of seating. People make reservations and the restaurant honors them and holds the table open unless the party is late.... More

The Brownstone is a quaint, historic restaurant. The menu is varied.....everything from soup & sandwiches to steak, seafood, pork, etc. We've always had a wonderful meal there! Great beer & wine selections. More

The yellow perch is my favorite dish at the Brownstone. It's lightly battered and served with baked potato and salad. My wife had the Norwegian cedar planked whitefish, and our friends had the Jamaican whitefish. All were cooked to perfection. The restaurant was packed because of snowmobiling and dog sledding but the service was excellent and the food was delicious.... More

Loved this place. Food was terrific and very reasonably priced. The ambiance was rural steakhouse and fabulous. We were here for dinner one night on July 4th weekend and it was packed, including many families. More

Nice quaint restaurant about 12 miles west of Munising. The food was not of the quality that we remembered from years past, but that didn't seem to slow down the customers who go out there fo the atmosphere. More

The Jamaican Whitefish was one of the best pieces of fish I have eaten. My wife had the beef tips special with noodles and loved it. The waitress served us well, but was disinterested and not friendly. The same waitress was very friendly to other tables that seemed to be "locals" from the area. It seemed to us that they... More
