Went there for lunch after a walk in the Bastakiya area. This is a lovely little spot for a cold juice after wandering around the Deira or Basta district - I'd really recommend the lime and mint juice. Lots of sofas in the dappled shade around a large tree, in a walled-off courtyard - aside from the sound of traffic, Dubai seems miles away. More

I am sorry but the Bastakiya Quarter was just a bit overated for me and not worth the trip unless you really want to visit some of the specific museums and attractions. The Basta Art Cafe was fine but not worth a special trip. More

Nice food and drinks served in outdoor courtyard, We had hoped for hot meal in evening but only salads available. However, friendly waitress got us soup, which is on in daytime. Sells some art and jewellery. More
