Enjoyed a very nice dinner here - buffalo fillet was tender and delicious and the chicken BBQ was juicy and flavorsome. The desert wasn't great but the service and atmosphere more than compensated. The meal was excellent value for money. More

We were craving western/bistro food for a change & this fit the bill. Good pizza & wine too! A bit overpriced but so is most of the food in LPB! More

We really enjoyed kicking back at le cafe ban vat sene and escaping the 100 degree heat for an hour or so. The menu provides many choices and the food quality was excellent. We had two sandwiches and lao coffee while enjoying a street view. The restaurant is uptown in an area we far prefer to the cetner of LP.... More

The best meal I've had in 12 years in Southeast Asia. Slightly snooty waiters trying to be French, but the pork medallions in fresh time are so goods, all is forgiven More

Great spot for lunch, really tasty open sandwiches, about $5-6. Great value and great range on the menu. Also a good place for coffee, good strong Laos latte or cappuccino, and delicious cakes. Tarte citron recommended. Busy at lunchtime which indicates its strong following. Watch the world go by and the delightful children playing in the primary school opposite the... More

Great spot - still on the main road but far enough down to be away from the main tourist drag. Lovely french colonial interior and a good selection of drinks and food (both main meals and pastries). The unusual banana pudding is well worth a try! More
