Amazing coffee, great shakes, did not try the food but it looked good on other people's plates. Owned by a Frenchman, frequested by expats, Lao locals and tourists alike, it is a quiet calm coooool place on the main street, that oozes colonial charm. Its not cheap (think London/Paris prices) but you don't mind parting with your money there.

Nice little spot but awful Laos style coffee. And coffee mate instead of milk! i guess in the tradition of French cafes making terrible coffee it's authentic. The fries were tasty though. Overpriced. Fast wifi .

Went here for breakfast and it was great. Warm delicious croissants and excellent service. A bit more pricey than other places but the quality is there for all to see.

I went here twice for breakfast and got the 'all out' special' (I can't remember what it was called), which included yummy bacon, eggs, hot (key - this is the only place that warmed their croissants and bread) bread and croissant basket, fresh jam, butter, orange juice, and coffee (or latte). For the quality and atmosphere it was worth the... More

Like Luang Prabang, this is a gorgeous blend of the indigenous and the colonial. Classic staples of French brasseries are executed very well and the Lao soups are superb. Highly recommended for those who can't decide if they want Western or Lao food, and also for coffee. Although not expensive, it's more for flashpackers than backpackers.

It is a treat just to sit there, relax and enjoy beautiful Luang Prabang, moreover if you try "Le Cafe Ban Vat Sene" formidable soups garnished with plenty of green, chilli and lemon spices "served Lao-style" in a separate bowl to add as you please.

We came in for a mid moring coffee. Lovely tarte au citron and croissant au beurre with very good coffee, very old colonial.

We only found this place on our last day, sadly but would definitely return next visit. The tarte au citron and ginger tea were amazing and the staff and atmosphere are lovely.

Delicious meal! Good service, maybe not very smily for one waiter but efficience and good level of English. Good value for money regarding the quality of food
