Decided on the fish platter for two. It was the most expensive in the area at €70 so we expected it to be exceptional. Given bread (which they later charged for) whilst we waited. I know it is late in the season but the fish...looked like it had been thrown on the grill and tipped onto a plate. Seabream was well cooked and tasted fresh but sadly nothing else was good. The octopus hadn’t been cleaned properly, prawns were not deveined and the tuna was over cooked and dry. Wine is of poor quality and is served in 100ml measures. Unfriendly service.More

My wife and me were in Tinel many times and always was very satisfied with sea food/meat meals but the best was grilled squids,octopus salad,black risotto. Staff is very friendly and location is perfect just near the promenade Riva. All in all perfect place in...Split. Highly recommended.More

We stopped for lunch on our way down from the park over looking the city. They did not have a lunch menu but my wife and I ordered hot appetizers and side salads This worked out well because the appetizers were the size of a...full meal.More

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here ..The highlight was the veal medallions by far .. Super tasty ! My wife had pasta which too was cooked perfectly. Very good service.. This restaurant was recommended to us when we arrived in Split. We saved it for our last night & weren't disappointed. Located in the centre of Split just off the busy Riva area. It's nestled in a small, bustling square with lots if others restaurants...and Konobas. With seating inside and out the restaurant is lovely. The food was exceptional especially the octopus salad & fresh fish. Our waiter Poppi (Roberto) was fantastic, so friendly & attentive. Best food, serve & location in Split. Very comfortable indoor as well as outdoor seating. The waiter we had was excellent . Food came fast. We shared a delicious cold seafood starter. For mains my wife had the scampi and I had the tuna. Both were excellent.More

Ivan my waiter was especially helpful. I receive complimentary breakfast with my accomodation across the road. My boat trip was cancelled this morning so despite having my coffee already this morning I returned to have breakfast and another complimentary coffee was bought with a smile....Breakfast is plentiful and good. If you are looking for great food and service, this is an ideal place to go. You get big portions of very tasty food, good choice of local wines and all of the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. We went twice we enjoyed the meal and the service so much. The food is great quality, local and traditional- all perfectly cooked. Bookings can be for small area out front which has lovely atmosphere in the square, or inside air conditioned spaces or the...courtyard out back. There is a good range of options - we had something from the grill both times and it was succulent each time and rested well.More
