I was not expecting Peru to be an outstanding place for pizza, but we were all pleasantly surprised! Seeing some of the reviews and having sampled a few places more than once, I will say that it will be hit or miss with most places you go to. We had the Espangnola and Neopolitano pizzas, and found both to be... More

My wife andI went there to eat on 01/20/2013. We had read about how good the food and service was in FODORS peru book. There were two other couples in there at the time we ordered. I ordered trout dinner which comes with soup and a drink. After waiting thirty minutes the waitress brought be my soup. My wife ordered... More

Of course I was dubious about ordering an oven fired pizza in Ollantaytambo Peru. I went for a cheese and meat sauce medium pizza and a lemonade. Out came this lovely, cheesy, bit of heaven. Thin crispy crust with a white sauce and dripping cheese and a smattering of crumbled meat (probably pork but who cares!!) then a fine shake... More

Really very disappointing pizza and poor service. Had high hopes after reading the good reviews on Tripadvisor, so when it was one of the worst pizzas I have had in Peru, I felt I needed to say something. The pizza had almost no flavor and when I asked for ¨white sauce¨ (a staple with pizza here in Peru) they brought... More

The pizza was nothing to write home about. The crust was crisp and tasty, but the tomato sauce was indetectable, and there was more cheese than anything else. our pizza had canned mushrooms - yuck! We also shared the pollo saltado, which was decent. Service was friendly but slow.

My sister and I ate lunch here after spending the morning exploring the ruins. We got there just as they were opening, so we had to wait about 45 minutes for them to fire up the oven and get our pizza in. We passed the time at a table outside and had a nice time people-watching in the plaza. We... More

Perhaps the only place in Ollantaytambo -- or maybe the entire Sacred Valley? -- to get a BLT sandwich. This was a tour high point for one member of our family, who isn't a daring eater. Don't expect only pizzas or BLTs, though. We had several Peruvian specialties and enjoyed them at a sidewalk table where we could see all... More

We did a cooking class at this restaurant organized by Awamaki tours. The owner was a little bothered that she had not been waned ahead that we didn't eat meat as the rocoto dish we were going to make is always done with meat. But the stuffed pepper dish made with egg and cheese was excellent. Very tasty. The pisco... More

We had a small pizza and sat outside on the sidewalk and watched the people in the square. Good location for people watching.

My friend and I had a super cooking class and learnt to make Ricotta Rellenas & Pisco Sour's at Pachamama Pizzeria. Its a lovely family owned restaurant and during quite times the daughter teaches classes out of the kitchen. We met most members of the family and got to learn some local culinary tips to take to NYC! We started... More
