Upon sitting down were offered a menus by a young waitress that left me stunned. She was trying to sell the menu! But in such a pushy way. Please allow me 5 mins said she. Whoo young lady, we are here, we want to read the menu ourselves, and will ask should we have a query. Then a mix up... More

Just left Raffles with a bad taste in my mouth. Figured I'd better have a world famous S'pore Sling while I'm here... probably never have the chance again. Guaranteed I'll never have one again! Over $30 for a warmish, weak, syrupy (is that a word?) little drink that was pre-made. Why not show a little pride in the history of... More

Staying at Raffles is probably prohibitive to most people as rooms are very expensive. However paying a visit to the Long Bar just has to be done - a little bit of Colonial Singapore that is very atmospheric!

Everything most of the other reviewers have said is true - overpriced tourist trap with indifferent staff and I think the throwing the peanut shells on the floor is just messy!! BUT you have to do it once just to say you have had a Singapore Sling there - and that's it.

Drink was well made, I really liked it. Bit too expensive for 28 dollars. Nachos were out of the readymade packet with insufficient guacamole, salsa and cheese. Place was bit dirty with peanuts and it's skin spread around. Staff was very transactional not interested beyond collecting order and delivering it. Unlikely to visit again, recommend to go once for it's... More

Drinks were expensive ($31 each for the famous Singapore Sling) and it was very watery in flavour. Aimed at the 'rich' visitor and there are definitely plenty of worthwhile alternatives in this great city... Worth doing only for the 'been there done that' caption.

I went to the Long Bar with my wife and her sister last year as she had never been to Singapore before - I found it to be atourist trap, over priced with poor service and poor quality Slings. Having vowed not to return I sucumbed and took my daughter....what a surprise! The staff have elevated rudeness to an art... More

Overpriced legendary "Singapore Sling" cocktails; but you have to sip on one when you have out-of-towners visting Singapore, don't you? Most love the novelty of tossing peanut shells on the floor.
