Here's how to beat the wait: Arrive 45 minutes before it opens and stand in line. I've been here 5 times and did this 4 of the 5 times. Each time it was just early enough to make the first seating. Miss this first seating and it'll be a 90-120 minute wait. And the wait itself is underrated. Each time... More

After the second visit to the outlet in Singapore, there is something definitely going fishy here. Pardon the cross post but I really believe that Chinese cooking standard must be improved or maintained even if the business ventures overeseas. Here is something similar on the 'Tim ho Wan Singapore page on tripadvisor - The 'famed' buns were smaller, the price... More

The dimsum here is cheap and really delicious. Must try the pork (charsiu) buns!! There's always a long line outside so be prepared for the long wait.. it's really worth the wait!

I visited Tim Ho Wan when I was on a trip to Hong Kong. There are a couple of outlets located all around Hong Kong and I managed to visit 2 of them: Central & Olympic. Although they are always a massive amount of people queuing for the food outside the restaurant, fret not. Because the flow of crowd is... More

I went to the outlet at Olympic. No queue as I was there at 4pm. Love the baked Char Siew Bao !! Indeed all dim sum items are so delicious! Best of all, it's cheap!!

We had lunch at Tim's after reading about it on Tripadvisor. It was one of the better meals we had on our China trip. There was plenty on the menu to appeal to more squeamish western tastes and both the teamed and fried selections were tasy and perfectly cooked. We though that being charged for a napkin was a bit... Note this is for the Olympic location as the Kwong Wah, Monkok location has moved. I was a little disappointed that it had moved as I'd prefer a bustling city street than a neat and tidy shopping centre for this restaurant and found there wasn't a lot of atmosphere. But we were there for the dim sum and it was... More

We've never eaten at any other 3 star Michelin restaurant to make a true comparison, however I doubt they would be this cheap. We ordered 6 dished for three people and paid $180HKD. We had the famous pork buns and yes they were delicious. Being quite sweet you would be hard pressed to eat 3 by yourself, even as a... More

I knew I had to visit Tim Ho Wan when planning for the trip after discovering it on Foodprint Asia. Furthermore Tim Ho Wan is a 1 Michelin star restaurant. I loved the rice rolls with pig liver (the taste and smell is rather strong, so order only if you are fine with it), the siew mai with the crunchy... More
