Had a wonderful evening overlooking Hong Kong harbour skyline. The food was very good - crab & turnip rolls and shredded Szechuan chicken to start, double-cooked pork and shanghai style ham with seafood rice, followed by ice cream desserts. All the food was excellent and flavours different from each other. Champagne cocktails to start and a NZ Sauvignon blanc to... More

A loose inturprition for hutong means street. You enter the restaurant via a lift and exit on level 28. The lifts open and you enter a 19 century street scene. Rickshaw and all. We sat at Chinese style tables and chains .great lighting and a breathtaking view of HK . The menu was sophisticated.not your average Everything a joy to... More

I love the view and the food is great. But one thing I did not appreciate was when we called to make a reservation, the girl insisted that there is a minimum spending of HK$400 per person. I have been there before, and was never asked to spend HK$400 a person. If you want to get a window seat, you... More

Arrived just before 10pm for a late night snack. Since we had dined earlier, I requested to look at the menu before being seated. After sighting a few things of interest on the menu, we were about to be shown to our table only to be then advised that they had a minimum spend HK$400 per person policy. Would not... More

We had a window seat table for two and the light show was just beginning across the harbour in Hong Kong. It made for a stunning backdrop. We ordered a bottle of the Montrachet, the chilli & spicy clams for entree, which were really lovely flavours and for mains the Ma La prawns (quite spicy, especially if you accidentally eat... More

Four of us enjoyed this restaurant for the meal and also for the excellent viewing of the symphony of lights at 8 pm. We thought the meal we had was very nice and the service was prompt and ambience excellent. It is very dark which is perfect for taking photos of the light show and the decor is totally different... The views were amazing, but the food was average for the price. Spending two weeks in china and having some amazing food I was a bit disappointed with the food at the restaurant. It was still good and I would highly recommend it if you haven't been there before, but I don't think I will go back

The food was good and the view on Hong Kong skyline is spectacular. The decor replicating a Bejing hutong is very interesting. Service was relatively good but was slow.

Been there on a number of occasions for work dinners. The decor is glam and smart and the views pretty great. Other than that the food doesn't stand out as anything special. More style over substance.

First and last visit to Hutong. Simply put, the food was way overpriced, and the taste was mediocre at best. The view, however, is magnificent. Hutong is the kind of place you'd bring out of town visitors to impress them with the HK skyline and harbor. And if they don't terribly care about the food, then it's a good choice.... More
