The Trippys before warned me that this place was going to be hard to find but the pin point on the map was actually correct! Doesn't happen that often, unfortunately. The resaurant had a great set menu with of lovely combination of different Yunnan food. Price: just below Y130 for one person. House wine: Y200. The setting in a beautiful... More

There is one menu only. Food is nice, though a little spicy. Atmosphere is nice. Lots of non natives. Unfortunate. Notice: easy to find if ypu use map. Rest OK.

The food was good but I thought the restaurant suffered from fame. I was not even given any explanations on what kind of set menu options I had and I ended up being charged for a menu, which was pricier than what I was originally told of. The waiters basically throw the food at your table and just say the... More

This restaurant is a real gem. We are foodies and this place really gets it. Yunnan cuisine done beautifully. The menu is prix fixe. We had seven courses. Mostly vegetarian, but with a whole deep fried fish. It's hard to find but well worth the trouble. It's definitely not fancy, but it's totally charming.

The location is in a courtyard and very difficult to locate without a guide. We were in a group of 11 some of whom live in Beijing and loved the food. My husband and I found it too spicy to enjoy. For 11, the cost was just over $500US. The service was good, but no explanation was given of what... More

We were on a budget trip (Eating mostly in absolutely non fancy places), but we decided to go for something special on our last night in Beijing. Great idea! Try to make a reservation because it can be crowded (we did and it happened that the day we went was not full) and enjoy. You don't have to worry about... More

While not super easy to find, this is definitely a must-go for good Yunnan food in Beijing. The setting is super picturesque and the food is very good. We went here with very little expectations and the set menu that we were given was absolutely fantastic. The wines were also very good

Great restaurant. Lovely staff. Best Yunnan food I had in Beijing. It's great to come in afternoon and sit in the courtyard. No need to think much since it is a set menu. All dishes are really good. Can't wait to come again. Guangming , Beijing

Tricky to find, but well worth it! The atmosphere is good and the food delicious, though there's no choice - you get what's on offer on the day. There are no frills, but service is friendly and efficient.

I love the idea of the chef deciding on a menu and each dish being a surprise and we were not disappointed by his selection. The dishes were varied, well balanced and offered a wonderful selection of flavours. Our only disappointment was that we were still hungry at the end of the meal. This is my second visit to Dali...
