Being an experienced koshary professional tester I believe that this restaurant serves a good dish of Koshary but the taste is not the best. For example the tomato sauce which is served with the order is very watery and not well cooked where it is supposed to be little bit more thick. If you compare Al Tahrir with Hend in...

My son and I decided to try Koshari al-Tahrir because it serves Egyption food(only Koshari) even though my son was objecting becausr there is no meat! We tried the one in Sudan st, and stayed in upper floor where there were few customers having lunch. We ordered Koshri which is as I mentioned the only food they serve. They brought...

it was agood place to eat Egyptian meal Koshari i like it very much . the location is very good and it was near from the hostel where i stayed in cairo
Koshari is a great, local meal...but as a foreigner, you must be careful. Al-Tahrir Koshari is clean, safe, inexpensive and delicious. We've been to two locations: downtown near Tahrir Square and on Al Nasr Street in New Maadi. Both are consistently excellent, but the downtown location has a little more local charm.

We accidentally ordered two mediums; I regretted wasting half of mine, but I was stuffed. The bill for two mediums and water came to 16 LE (about...

Egypt's national dish. I loooooove koshary and having tried a few different places, I find this one without a shadow of a doubt the very best. A pile of macaroni, spaghetti, rice, chickpeas and fried onions covered in tomato sauce and sprinkled with hot sauce and a dressing of garlic & vinegar may not sound like much, but OMG it...

Great test that I ate too much as usual, I always either go there or order deliver but I have to eat from them many times. My family as well like too much
Koshary is the Egyptian national dish and every visitor MUST try it before leaving. Koshari al-tahrir is the best place to do so. Canteen-style restaurant, but that's all part of the experience: very clean, very fast, very very cheap (less than 1 euro for a regular sized portion) and the best koshary in town. Don't miss it!
Koshary; an egyptian meal that can be considered as a brunch. Cheap, good value for money, tasteful. Ingredients: Macaroni, Rice, Hommos, Red Sauce of tomato and maybe hot sauce, fried onion.
