Location! Location! Location as they say. Hung out over the water the Melanesian style hut does bring something to the experience. As does the opening in the centre of the restaurant, where you can observe a multitude of wildlife including black fin reef sharks. With a diverse selection on the menu and wine list is a fun place to catch... More

I cannot believe this restaurant is number 20 on the list in comparison to some that are numbered before it, it should be number 2 or 3. This restaurant is amazing. The food is to die for. It may be a little pricey to a traveller, but well worth it. The food has a wowwwww factor to it. Divine french... More

The location above the water with views back to Anse Vata is excellent but as others have said it is very expensive. We turned up mid-week and got a table by the opening to the lagoon so we could see and feed the fish. If we hadn’t been able get one with a good view we weren’t going to stay... More

The location was excellent, we sat right next to the fish hole and watched the fish feeding. Nice decor, staff friendly, food was expensive so we only had a main each and 1 drink each. cost about Aud 100. On the plus side the dishes were a generous size. I had an unusual dish which had pastry layered with chicken... More

The food is at the higher end but it's reasonable. It was good to see the fish swimming around the restaurant and the beach at night.

Service was excellent to start with and our waitress was very patient, allowing us to practice our French. Food was also excellent. The lit space to see the fishes was very entertaining even at night and the sparkling lights on the shore added to the ambience. Absolutely recommend.

We had a table overlooking the water, which is floodlit so you can see the fish. To our delight, a dolphin joined us for dinner, chasing and gobbling the fish. According to the staff, one will visit every 3 weeks or so. The food was fine, apart from the 'salad' (comprising solely lettuce) with a vinaigrette that tasted like dishwashing... More

We decided to have one of these long Sunday lunch and ended up at Le Roof. The staff was very obliging, but could have been a little bit more attentive. We shared entrees and had the prawns, the fois gras pate and the smoked salmon feuillete which were all well presented and very well prepared. For my main, I had... More

To be honest I dont get really excited about restaurants located over the water at night time - to state the obvious its dark. Le Roof is at the end of a timber walkway out over the ocean and at the start of the walkway and about 150 metres from Le Roof are 2 bar/nightclubs. So on our visit they... More
