Really enjoyed eating here. We choose the menu, be prepared to eat a lot, quite a few nice authentic dishes. Good attentive and fast service. Would definitively go again
....but we enjoyed the food - there was lots (1) of it, it was tasty and the staff were friendly....but not a Turk inn sight,
This place is a textbook tourist trap staffed by rip-off merchants.I now know that if locals do not know a place, then it's not worth going to.The food was good (but nothing special). We ordered 5 plates of meze without anyone making it clear to us that you pay double for each starter if there are more than 2 of you.I never...

We are sorry to have read your negative comments about our restaurant. We wish to make some explanations to make a few points clearer.
1. The claim about not being known by the local: Istanbul is a very trendy destination and full of foreigners visiting the city. Most of the foreign guests visiting Turkey make their reservations to restaurants quite...

This restaurant was a lot recommended and advertised by newspaper articles, etc in Turkey. I could not understand what the fuss is about. Now I understand in Ankara we have the most amazing places and food to eat. I continiously called to be able to have a reservation starting from days ago. Finally I managed. The meze was limited and...

personally I detest turkish cuisine, hence this review might be a little skewed. by istanbul standards, this is decent. but if like me, you're not fond of this cuisine, then it's probably not worth it. better to spend your time at one of those restaurants with nice views or outdoor seating. this really is a hole in the wall, so...

We had 4 meze with a hot shrimp appetizer. The cold meze are great except for the avocado one which is a bit too cheesy. The shrimp appetizer is wonderful with coconut milk. The highlight is the banana dessert with honey and chili. Very unusual but great tasting. Don't forget to make reservations. Small place but you can email them....

Went there for a business diner. Loved everything we ate. Especially the kusleme and the banana/honey/yoghurt/chilli dessert.
Very cosy place, 4-5 tables max. 40 people I believe. You must always make sure you have reservations because it is always full.
It was not very expensive as well, we paid around 50€ per person.
If you are in Istanbul and love...

I decided to try Meze by Lemon Tree based on the many positive reviews on Tripadvsior and other websites. I wasn't disappointed. I actually tried to contact the restaurant before arriving at Istanbul, but got no replies so I went there and it was fully reserved for two days, so I reserved a table on the third day.
Anyway, the...

In short: The best meze (mixed Turkish appetizers) I ever tasted. But our waiter seemed to be a bit unhappy because we ordered many, small dishes. He asked many times if we wanted more food, if we wanted a main course etc. He was polite, but it was a bit annoying...
The restaurant is small, and cozy. I'll go there...
