We ate here for lunch today. The entire restaurant was empty, no staff standing out on the street trying to drag you in, but we had read the great reviews in tripadvisor, so we thought "maybe they don't need to work so hard to drum up business". Anyway, we sat down, someone (a waiter?) came out and gave us a... More

Thanks to our Trip Advisor City Guides app we found this place after leaving the Hagia Sophia, looking for a convenient but yet authentic and fun lunch. We hesitated to go in as there were no other customers when we arrived but thankfully we trusted Trip Advisor! Amazing food, amazing service, authentic dishes, great atmosphere! We were a group of... Good food, great location, typical turkish environment and excelent price!! We paid 56 turkish liras (about 23 euros) for a 2-person dinner, including appetizers, main dish, dessert and drinks! A place to visit! For sure!!

Very nice place to go to diner in Istanbul. The waiters are really friendly and food is worth its price. I can recommend the istanbul kebab. You're going to be surprised. My only criticism is that the aloran restaurant is almost to 100 percent touristic. Apart from there is nothing negative to say! We liked this place a lot.

Stumbled upon this quiet and cheerful restaurant and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening out - fantastic staff, good food at a very reasonable price, relaxed atmosphere, a quiet spot away from the noise. And all this in tourist-packed Istanbul centre (Sultanhamet Camii/Blue Mosque area). Definitely getting full marks! Special thanks to Veyzel for the entertainment (21)!

After a long day of walking and visiting we arrived at Marmara sea side and since we were starving we decided to take a shortcut ti Sultanahmet area to eat. In our day we found some restaurants close to Blue Mosque, one of them was Aloran. The guy from the entrance convinced us that here we can find best food(Turkish... More
