A lovely restaurant, great service and delicious food! The Beef Sirloin Steak with the most amazing red wine sauce was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The dessert selection is large and the quality high. The trilogy of creme brûlées and the chocolate fondant with passion fruit sorbet were my favourites!

Don't recognise some of the reviews on here. We had the Degustation menu with matching wines - both of which would do the French proud. Great friendly but unobtrusive service, interesting wines, good quality food, lovely courtyard (with no mosquitos). Only thing I'd change would be the less than interesting cheeses.

We have been here about 6 times. Each time the menu recedes and has gone from good to terrible. 1st - The foie Gras used to be 4 big pieces (one cooked and 3 nice mouth watering other pieces) Now it is 1 small cold piece and 1 cooked piece. Have the chefs got a conscious now? New addition to... More

Dear Sir, Thank you very much for taking the time to review our restaurant. As we were deeply concerned by your remarks, we proceeded to investigate, in order to better understand what did go wrong. There are a couple of points we find important to clarify as follows. Firstly, please understand that the foie gras you had on your 6th... More

We have eaten here several times but have never really felt it was above average. The setting, in a beautifully restored French colonial building is promising. There is an outdoor dining area downstairs which is very nice, but outdoor dining in Vientiane has many problems, both due to the climate and insects. Upstairs there is a spacious dining room, nicely... More

La Signature is special. It is located in an old French colonial building that has been restored on a small side street behind Vat Ongteu in the heritage section of Vientiane. The food is very good and well presented. It never disappoints. The atmosphere is minimalist but colonial Indochinese. The good food and warm ambiance notwithstanding, the service needs some... More

I was travelling solo so chose not to go out to restaurants on my own. I ate the food from this restaurant frequently and it was overpowered with salt which ruined any other flavour it might have had.

Both times I have been there I have really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's a beautiful hotel with a romantic setting for the restaurant. The food is really quite nice on the whole and if the service could be better it would be a very special experience. Service is lacking and I'm not sure if it's motivation or training or what,... Looks like it will be nice but fails to deliver on service and standard. Staff stare at you rather than come over to serve you. Food is over priced and lacks taste. Our desert tasted microwaved. I wouldn't recommend it

Situated just off the main high street La Signature is located in the lovely Ansara Hotel. Beautifully manicured gardens and modern furniture make the garden a haven of peace in a busy city. Went to have dinner on the eve of the 4 day Pii Mai Lao (Lao New Year) holidays and we weren't disappointed. Super food with a modern... More
