Great setting on the terrace. If I was picky I would say to is a little too closes to the road, and sometimes you can hear the noisy traffic. The food is good value for money, but a little on the expensive side for Phnom Penh. Great for a date, or taking the wife out for a meal!

Anise has a big veranda what makes the atmosphere great and romantic. We ordered both local food: i had the ginger chicked, my partner the Khmer curry. Lovely relaxed setting, freidnly and attentive staff. Eat the Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, it's divine. Has copies of The Cambodia Daily (with articles from The Guardian, New York Times and Washington Post in it) Phnom Penh Post and South East Asia Globe magazine. Happy hour from 5-7pm with 75 cent beers in chilled glasses.

We ate at the Anise restaurant a number of times during our stay at the hotel and loved the food. The amok ravioli was fabulous and my kids loved their vegetarian lasagna. Don't miss out on the passion fruit shake! It is amazing!!!

Anise has a wide, leafy verandah and is located close to bars and boutiques on street 178. I have had some nice meals here - Khmer, Vietnamese and French - but the quality varies a great deal. The service can also be very slow.

the restaurant is right in the middle of the town .. near independence monument on a cross roads of street 278 and street 51. i would definitely go there again although i do think it is a bit pricey

We enjoyed the food here...Steamed mussels (we literally drank the broth after consuming all the mussels). Pork chop with pomegranate - currant sauce and mashed potatoes. We were walking down St 278 when we were heard this haunting music, we entered a restaurant through some thick shrubbery and there was a female musician playing a large string instrument.
