Just came back from this restaurant while staying with my parents and fiancée on Pasteur road. The restaurant was a hit with all four of us, we ordered soft shell crabs, tiger prawns, fish salad rice paper rolls, deep fried soft tofu and crab spring rolls. Not one complaint about any of the dishes, mum thinks best tofu she's ever... More

the seafood is good, but not the best i've eaten in HCMC...however, given the price, the relatively clean setting and central location, it sure makes eating seafood in this place a joy. There's a lot of locals eating here, which is usually an indication that it's a popular restaurant. Language wise, the staff should be able to understand simple english.... More

Went there on Wed night. It wasn't pack when we get there but soon it started to fill up. You see more locals then tourist but the food wasn't that great. Some waitress was friendly, some wasn't. Negative point - we (with young children) were seated next to a table of heavy smoker patrons when there are plenty of tables... More

We enjoyed the food here so much, that we came back to sample more. One of the great things about Hong Hai is how popular it is! It is a large restaurant on three floors and both times we ate here it was full to overflowing and not another foreigner in sight. There is a great atmosphere with tables full... More

All I can say is what I tell my friends, to try to explain the full experience I had at Hong Hai restaurant, near Duc Ba Church in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. From the street it looks like your approaching a nice hotel, with the trees all lit up and red carpet entrance. As you walk in you... More

had chilli crab, steamed shrimps, scallop and baked oyster with cheese and a dish of fried rice, all so yummy and it was a big restaurant , so it was good for beer and a group of travellers to go. end up we 2 spent 25 USD per head. worth a go and 10 minutes taxi from city center.

We are presently on our fourth trip to Vietnam and we just enjoyed our third visit to this wonderful restaurant. The seafood here is the best we have found in our visits to date and we already look forward to coming back for another treat next year. The menu is extensive and choosing what to eat is the toughest part... More

We came for seafood dinner for a change from the rounds of Pho. Food is fresh and delicious, and so is the drinks. The place is clean and the atmosphere is comfortably casual. We love the morning glory (kangkong), the softshell crab, the individual portion crab and shrimp soup, the bbq squid, the prawn split in half, the steam tilapia... More

Morning glory vegetables were among the best I've ever had. The crab was likewise excellent, and the oysters were good. But the giant prawns were not that yummy - only average, and they were expensive (about 300,000 VND for two, about $15). I ate lunch at a different seafood restaurant in the city where I also had the giant shrimp,... More
