Read the reviews and it's close to where we're staying, so we tried it today and yes, we're definitely returning. All the boxes are ticked. For what you get, it's great value. The restaurant was clean and the staff warm, helpful and professional. Everything was tasty and ingredients fresh. Can't wait to try the other dishes. More

I wandered into Shambala purely because I was hungry and liked the funky sign and look of the place! What a find. That was lunch and I went back for dinner :) fried tamarind fish and rice, so tangy and tasty. Then one of the yummiest desserts I've had in a long time (I'm not a huge sweets fan however... More

The food is fantastic, the girls that run the place are so nice and friendly and you get what you order :-) Me and my wife go out of our way to go to Shambala. They tailor make the spicy level to suit each person, we bring family there who don't like spice and we go there to get our... More

The title says it all. These are hard working people that put everything into providing a fantastic meal for every customer they have. There is nothing flash or pretentious about Shambala at all and what you see is what you get, which is why they have so many local and expat customers as their clientele. I have nearly tried every... The food quality at Shambala has always been excellent, hence such a popular place for locals and resident farangs alike. The massaman curry is second to none! Sadly as their beach lease ran out they have moved to a venue right on the Bangrak roadside, so lost their ambiance, but the food itself is as fab as ever... More

We went to shambala after reading the reviews on tripadvisor and hearing great reviews from the owner of 100 degrees diving east. As others have said this restaurant was hard to spot from the road. As we were about to leave area we came across shambala. We were amazed to find vegetarian options on the menu and the prices ($3-$7... More

We went here based on a friends advise and the advice of trip advisor and I'm glad we went! Food was great, we had the spring rolls which were the second best we have had in samui, the shambala chicken curry is a must try, it's a fried curry with chicken tomato and herbs, unreal! Im not a fan of... More

I love places like this. A tiny local Thai restaurant with great cheap food. I only had the masaman and fried wontons and they were both great While I was there four different groups of farangs (foreigners) came to dine and it was obvious one couple knew the owner staff very well, so that says something about repeat business. The... More

this is not a flash restaurant by any means, but the food and service is up there with the best of them. Quite a small restaurant with extra seating outside. Short wait for the food as it is prepared fresh to order and is well worth the wait, couldnt fault anything on the menu and prices were more than reasonable.... More
