Decided to try this restaurant/cafe out after a visit to Wararot. It is a bit hard to find - coming from the Old City the Soi is signposted and there is a sign for the restaurant but coming from the other way (Wararot), keep walking and turn left at the Sandy Health Shop. A real oasis in the city. Lovely... More

I did not expect to find such an exquisite pastry shop on a side street in charming Chiang Mai, but here it is: a genuinely good set of delectable sweets made to international standards. If you have a taste for the finer things in life do yourself a favour and sample the treats at W. Not all are great but... More

Off the main streets in quiet neighborhood, the outdoor setting and service were great. The portions were a bit small but were well prepared and delicious. The pastry selection for dessert is a bonus. More

wanted to have lunch early since we did not have breakfast, hotel conceirge recommended this restaurant, they were not ready although its to open at 11am so we walked around the area and took some nice pictures of the surrounding landscape as well as the interiors, the decor is very traditional and we have to remove our shoes. The food... More

I went to W by Wan Lamun with 4 crertified foodies: 2 expat residents, 2 US foodies, and one Chiang Mai Native. We all loved it! Wan Lamun is a great place to step out of the Busy part of town into this peaceful little side soi and enjoy a great meal on the shaded Terrace or in the nice... More

After a massage we just wanted some dessert so we came to Wanlamun. When we arrived at 3.30pm we thought the place was closed but you just have to go to the end of the driveway to this little tea house separate from the restaurant. We enjoy a latte, mocha, St Honore au chocolat and a St Honore Thai Tea,... More

We found this restaurant on the Nancy Chandler map of Chiang Mai. A short distance from The Small Chiang Mai Hotel where we are staying. It is well worth the short walk. It is situated at the end of Sok 2 Amphae Muang. Prices were reasonable and the food delicious. More

At the recommendation of a resident, we tried W for lunch. It is on a nice, quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has a very pleasant atmosphere. It wasn't very crowded. We ordered the pomelo salad and the duck in red curry. They were both very tasty and well presented. I had the tiramisu... More

The dishes seem to be combinations of about 10 different ingredients, which are trying to be a bit up-market (e.g. sun-dried beef, unusual types of fish). However, the result is not very good. The deep fried fish was overcooked and tasteless. The red curry with duck was relatively bland. Compared to other places in Chiang Mai the food is just... More
