This place is funky, but in a good way. They have both Western and Thai foods, and a really great happy hour. Food is reasonably-priced, English news and sports on the TVs, seems like a lot of British and expats there. I will be back.

This was our second trip to Chiang Mai and we knew we had to return to Gekko Garden.
The food was fabulous - particularly the Thai food, and such amazing value for money. The drinks I can't fault - have no idea how they can produce jugs of daiquiris that cheap but so happy they do. The jugs have resulted...

The large English tv and the...

Returned to the Gekko Garden on a Tuesday which happened to be the "Hamburger Special" night, and I was very glad I did. Simply the best hamburger I've had in Thailand. Asked the owner later what makes it so good and he said their secret is that they actually use beef (as opposed to buffalo?). Normally the burger costs 109...

Hubby ordered hamburger with chips and I ordered prawn cocktail and fish & chips. Rudy the owner told us all his food is made from scratch. Fish...

Stumbled into Gekko Garden by accident one evening after having some excellent Thai/Chinese just a little further south. Shocked, absolutely shocked, to learn they have a happy hour that runs from 5-9:30 every day during which the drinks are ONLY 40 BAHT! Also noticed they have a different special meal each day ranging from spagetti and meatballs, fish and chips,...
