Leisurely and lengthy dining recommended. the Buffet selection is large and one needs to take time to discover, methodically select and appreciate the various starter, main course and dessert options. Dined at lunch when the buffet selection was extensive. No entertainment at noon-time. Wine list not extensive but acceptable, avoid the Thai wines at this stage. More

Go for the Spicy soft-shell crab salad with Thai Champagne (belive it or not excellent). It's one of the best dishes in Thailand. Of course, you must eat outside on the Terrace righ by the river. More

I always took first time visitors to Bangkok to the Sala at the Oriental as it combines a few must do's ie the Oriental Hotel, a boat ride across the river to the restaurant, thai food and traditional dancing. Unfortunately the food has gone downhill and I must say the staff at the Jazz Bar have got very arrogant and... More

We arrived at the Mandarin Oriental and you take the private teak boat across the river to the restaurant. There is an interior dining room but it looks very touristy with a dancing show, just peek in on your way to the restrooms. I found the terrace along the river to be delightful, there is a covering area but then... More

Delicious food in a magnificent setting. Eat inside to enjoy the Thai dancing, otherwise just enjoy a magnificent riverside setting under the stars More

Had lunch here sitting in the recessed seating at the back of the venue. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The interior finishes were breathtaking in detail and beauty, the food a wonderful array of traditional Thai courses and the service very good. Though expensive the experience is one of unique beauty right on the river. More

The riverside location is beautiful; the staff are extremely helpful and friendly (especially for repeat customers) and it is a sheer delight to sit outside on awarm Bangkok night to dine on very tasty food while watching the world go by on the ever busy river. The indoor sala is incredibly ornate but I have never dined there as I... More
