Best Ramen shop that I've ever tried in Thailand. It looks like I have the Ramen in Japan. The taste is very close.

Place: small, a bit dark, japanese restaurant in Soi 39. You can see the kitchen, and the staff shouts a warm "welcome" in japanese everytime a customer comes in.
Menu: in japanese, thai, and english, large choice or Ramen, as well as many other side dishes.
Food: excellent, really. Probably the best ramen I've had so far, lot of meat...

So many good ramen restaurants in Bangkok, this one manages to stand out.
I would give it 5 stars except sometimes their meat is too fatty.

One of the best original japanese ramen in Bangkok. The taste is like i had in Japan. But this original "tonkatsu" ramen is a bit oily and salty that someone may don't like it.

Without a doubt the best ramen in Bangkok. Love the fatty pork belly here... drooling as I type this. You will feel like you are in Japan in this restaurant as most of the customers are Japanese. The quality of the food is very high - Japanese standard. The ramen is expensive by Bangkok standards but not by Japanese ones,...

Initially I was intending on hitting up the katsu joint just nextdoor when Bankara caught my eye. I usually eat ramen on soi 33 1/2 so was definitely curious to see if this would serve as a nice alternative. I'm glad I did since this is definitely spot I save for those days when I need some comfort-food. I will...

Atmosphere: This casual place is a bit of a time machine. The Japanese greetings and attention give you a peaceful feeling.
Gourmet: Besides their original ramen (160baht) they offer the classics like Syouyu, Miso, Shiou and Tonkatsu. They also have donburi and gyouza (dumplings) for 80baht. The different sauces, ginger and fresh garlic on your table add to the experience...
