I used to frequent Harmonique regularly in the 1990's and I haven't been there in years. I found myself with friends down on Charoen Krung this weekend and decided to see if it was still open. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was and that the big old tree in the middle and the old colonial house decor...

Tugged away in a side street of the beaten path this Restaurant is great for a real thai dinner. The food was excellent, service was good. We were a group of 4 and shared some 8-10 dishes. All of them very tasty! Prices are ok. Not cheap but way less than most Tourist-Tuk-Tuk-Restaurant. We'll be back for sure!
We had a terrific meal at this wonderful restaurant. All the food was good ...but we loved the glass noodle salad and the banana and ice cream for dessert!!
The food was tasty particularly the pomelo salad. Service was quick and somewhat perfunctory. For a first time visit, we were satisfied and will return again
I read some recent reviews of Harmonique that mentions how it has lost much of what made it wonderful. This place was always a must visit on our twice a year visits to BKK. I was sad to witness their concerns first hand. It seems that this place has indeed suffered a decline in quality. There were only two of...

We ate here the first night we arrived in BKK, based on TA and Fodor's reviews. It is a short walk from the Sheraton Royal Orchid Hotel on a small side street. There are some art pieces around and a small shop that does not seem to have much except (the night we were there) someone sleeping on the couch....

The ambience gave the place a very homely feel rather then the image of a restaurant. A lot of simple yet eye catching artefacts placed throughout the restaurant made the setting very interesting. The sea food preparations were excellent. Overall a must visit place for anyone who will be in this part of Bangkok.
Quite a pleasant and unassuming restaurant, with a mix of European and Thai clientele on the night we went there. Good food at reasonable prices. Menus are translated into English and have pictures to make it even simpler. The attached gift shop is a little disappointing, but no-one hassles you to buy anything.
Success has taken its toll on this once fabulous restaurant. The staff are attentive, but the size of the portions and the quality has dropped so far that frankly, why would you bother going? There's a much better option at Queen of Curry (not the best name) where the food quality, size and price is fabulous.
