The ambience, building and display as you walk in - you could be fooled in thinking you were in a French patisserie in Paris. The food does not disappoint - everything I sampled was delicious and compared to European prices, cheap. Definitely work a visit if you are in the area and fancy a little treat.

Wide range of pastries, cakes and savoury items. Decent coffee, nice place to sit and take a break from the city. Good place to buy a gift for a host for a dinner or as a thank you. Try the almond croissant if you can, very good.

Great cakes and tasty quiches and a little slice of paris in Tana. Also serve good coffees. A nice place to spend an hour or so recovering from the hustle and bustle of Tana, altho it is a little soulless sometimes.

Excellent breakfast buffet. Good choice. Wonderful pastries. Plenty of fruit. Freshly cooked eggs. Great cafe au lait!

What a gem in the middle of Tana and part of the Hotel Colbert. We had amazing ice-cream sundaes, pizza pieces and delicious savoury tartlets. The coffee and tea is good here too.

The place is like a bakery in France. That is, a very good bakery in France. We had a great breakfast for a very reasonable price. Now, you need to book the evening before, it is very often crowded

Well worth a visit for the pastries. They're great. The hot chocolate's not too bad either. Nothing very Malagasy about the place but it could be a good refuge when you want a little tast of the west.

We happened on the Patisserie Colbert, and it was a wonderful happenstance. A true French-style patisserie/boulangerie. The quiches, cakes, Croques Monsieurs and in-house artisan breads were all wonderful. It was a treat to stop in, pick up a couple snacks and indulge there, on a walk or back in the hotel room. The chocolates looked delicious - I wish I... More

A most unexpected treat, like an oasis in the desert. There is not much around this area of interest to us but this cake shop was so seemingly out of place, try it for acake and coffee.
