The food was good, but the drinks were astronomically expensive.
It was a delight to find a first class restaurant serving interesting game meats (I had ostrich and my husband had venison) in very modern ways. Everything in Victoria Falls seems to be incredibly expensive but this restaurant was worth every penny. Service was first rate; atmosphere quiet and refined.
l loved the food(pork Ribs) great service and the place is conducive for a good evening out
We had a wonderful dinner here and several good breakfasts while staying at the Ilala Lodge. For dinner I tried crocodile and my S.O tried wildebeast. Both were prepared wonderfully and were delicious. They have a wide variety of wines to choose from in different price ranges. Breakfast buffet is very good, lots of options and the staff is wonderful.... More
We decided based on recommendations from travelers alike and locals that 'palm' was the restaurant to go to if you wanted fantastic food and even better service. And boy they were definitely right. With lots of interesting tastes on the menu, including game like warthog and crocodile, it was so hard to make a choice.... As everything just sounded so... More
Didn't stay at Ilala but stopped at the Palm twice for lunch when going to falls or shopping in town. We really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony with the cool breeze, and had a nice selection from grilled bream to burger to impala steak sandwich for our boys (age 16, 15). Not sure what dinner is like, but for... More
We had two simple lunches on the terrace overlooking the water clouds from Vic.Falls: a plate of Mezze, with very tasty dips and a very nicely cooked steak with crunchy chips. The dessert was beautifully fresh and tangy: s very fresh fruit salad with a lovely lemon sorbet. It was a most enjoyable afternoon.
I booked a short trip to Victoria Falls and was recommened the Ilalala lodge. There was a mention of the Palm Restaurant as a possible place to have dinner... Being lazy, I went for it and it was one of the best food experience I can think of. Certainly not cheap, but every dollar on my $58 bill (that's including... More

Although we did not stay at this lodge, we ate here 3 times during our stay. Everything we all ordered was top notch and the service was just as good. Very beautiful setting and architecture with the sound of the falls within earshot. It is located just across the road from the Kingdom Inn.
This is the best place to eat in Vic Falls. Setting is very nice and menu is varied, food very well preparaed and prices better than at Vic Falls Hotel--yet still expensive for what is offered. Returned several times and was never disappointed.
