This place is in the town/village and run by an American lady (cpl). Very good host and a marvelous choice of fresh foods - save room for dessert though!

This is a great little restaurant that has mainly outside seating. It can get a little bit stuffy if there is no breeze and the flying insects come out. The food was really good and a really different menu.
We returned three times in the week we were in Placencia. Order the ceviche, the snapper and the lime tart. The ginger martini is also great. And we liked the chicken lollipops and the steak. But the snapper was the best.
The atmosphere is nice and the staff was great. If we return to Placencia, we'll go to the Secret...

We tried several restaurants, and The Secret Garden was the best. Great, great service, quiet, and a wonderful evening.

I think there are better, less expensive restaurants, especially the ones owned by native Belizeans.
Our family of four visited the Secret Garden based on reviews off tripadvisor. The reviews were pretty accurate and we have one of our best meals in Placencia there. We had the Jerk Chicken breast, a carrbbean chicken dish and a pasta dish. All were excellent. Also enjoyed a cold Belikin with it. The owner, Sabrina is very nice and...

My wife and I had dinner here and the food plus presentation was excellent! The chocolate cake was good too! We don't think this place will be a secret for long!
Just back from an amazing trip to Placencia... gluten free options at many paces in Placencia...but this was my favorite...We went back twice in our week long stay! Once with my cousin and her husband for fun double date night and once on our own. The ambience is a wonderful garden setting in the heart of town with friendly staff...
