New owners, same great BBQ! wish he hadnt pushed his new boozy ice cream drink so hard, but thats our only complaint!
Had some great BBQ and COLD beer at Lazy Croc this week. Very friendly people. Saw the crocs too! If you are on the beach path pay attention cause it's easy to miss their path. Got the juicy char char sandwich and plan to return for ribs this week.
Lazy Croc is not an experience to miss. Not only is the food delicious, the staff great but the surroundings are wonderful. If you are lucky enough (which on every visit we have been) the croc will be right at your toes (well maybe not that near) but very close. Fun place for family and friends.
My first trip to Belize & it did not disappoint! Ate at a number of places (all great) but this one stood out. A hidden little gem with great ambiance. The place is under new ownership & its Canadian owner is friendly and obviously passionate about his new endeavor. (Try the Char Char sandwich named after his daughter.) Loved sitting... More
The food was excellent and plenty of it - got to have "leftovers" the next day. Really good BBQ and ribs. It was my favorite place to eat. The staff and service was great - they even brought the croc up. The Lazy Croc is within walking distance of the Grand Caribe and if you are staying south of the... More
After several false starts to eat there, seems like it was always closed, we finely made it. The effort was worth it! The food was excellent and in servings we couldn't come close to finishing. The service was top shelf with the staff introducing themselves as the meal progressed. The new owners have expanded the hours and days open. Prices... More
We ate our Thanksgiving dinner here and the food was great! Our 3 year old daughter Katherine was entertained by Nick (the pitmaster) as he fed the tarpon and crocs in the lagoon, and we felt at home. Definitely stop by early in your trip, as you'll want to go back for more!
Awesome meats (truly falling off the bone), awesome sauces (especially liked the vinegar mustard), awesome service. New owner Christof (sp?) aims to please. Didn't see the famed crocs, but the huge fish in the pond kept us entertained.
Living in Austin, I think I have access to some of the best BBQ in the States. Lazy Croc is right up there with Franklin's & J Mueller's. Their pork ribs are out of this world and their sides are were amazing! Great setting amongst a peaceful lagoon with crocs lazying around. Do not miss this restaurant when you visit... More
Great service, food and atmosphere! Worth the short trip. We loved seeing the beer delivery man nearly eaten by the crocs!
