Got there a few minutes after 1 and found out the restaurant stopped serving lunch at 1 so no lunch for me, nor for the people that were infront of me who must have made it there by 1:02. I did manage to order a piece of their their award winning Key Lime Pie to go but found it rather... More

We have gone here for years. Thank you to Ed and Andrea Spring for a consistent great effort and preparation of wonderful food! It is and always has been the best place on Anna Maria. The food is consistently wonderful. I still love the island decor with the little rooms, it's very cozy and personal. I especially love the garlic... More

Tacos were cold (despite being advertisied as "grilled" on menu).... More

Always the same, always PERFECT. Ed and his wife plus his staff are 5 star. Come one, come all. Wouldn't change a thing.

We had not visited Sig of the Mermaid for at least a couple years because of a mediocre experience, but decided to give it another chance. First the atmosphere - if all else is good, it's quaint and charming. If all else is bad, its tired and dirty - definitely came in on the tired and dirty side on this... More

Came to Florida for girls weekend. We were told Anna Maria Island was a great beach to go to. It was. We decided to find a restaurant to enjoy some local fare. Saw the reviews for Sign of the Mermaid and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! The restaurant is very quaint, very local. Service was... More

I am trying not to exaggerate, but we think we have just returned from the best seafood dinner we have ever had. Joan and I dined this evening at the Sign of the Mermaid on Anna Maria Island, Florida. We live in Washington, DC and have many excellent restaurants to compare. Also, on Saturday evening we dined at Beach Bistro,... More

Hidden in an old cottage style house on anna maria island is the best restaurant i have been to in years. I recommend the stuffed french toast for breakfast. It is rich and made with fresh berries. Out of this world. Then for dinner some of the freshest fish anywhere on the island. The Swordfish Cordon Bleu is what i... More
