Food wasn't bad but it certianly wasn't mindblowing... Atmosphere and location are great, which is evident in the price. What isn't evident is an amazing food quality. Certianly wasn't bad but isn't something to write home about. Great service but you pay for it and there are definitely better places in town.
I have now been to 5 Il Mulino Restaurants in the country: Las Vegas, New York City, Miami, Florida, and Puerto Rico. I can honestly say, Il Mulino is consistant in every city. It is comforting to know wherever you are in the country, you can always count on the quality of the meal as well as the impeccable service... More
We had made reservations before we read all of the negative reviews. I must say that our dinner was lovely. The staff was very friendly. They start you with an array of amuse boche, and finish your meal with house made liquer. Our meals were large and the food wasn't heavy. The prices are steep, about 15% higher than other... More
Casual Italian restaurant, well located near the base of Aspen Mountain. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The menu has many interesting choices, some standard Italian fare and other specialties of the house. Be prepared for a lot of food! A variety of complimentary starters are offered in addition to those on the menu, salads and entrees are over... More
I have been to Il Mulino many, many times and it has, til now, been a great experience. We dined there twice this week and the restaurant, during peak ski season, was almost empty. The servers were all very nice, but very slow and not really interested in working the tables. We were a table of 9 guys-----it was like... More
Hard to beat for location to dine/lunch with skiers and non skiers. Great outdoor area to watch skiers come off the hill. All of Aspen is expensive, but this can be real sticker shock for a lunch with wine. Service is very attentive. Thought the food was "fine".
We had lunch and dinner outside on the patio in July and the food and service was good. The patio has a great view of the mountains.
We had reservations for Christmas Eve and based on the reviews we had low expectations. The service from Martin was superb, the Dover Sole was filleted and cooked to perfection and the veal chop was the BEST we have ever had. We have been coming to Aspen for 10 years and it was the best meal and experience all four... More
Stopped in for drinks and dessert. Both were excellent! The bartender, Will, made wonderful drinks and was VERY attentive, as was the manager, Ernesto! Ernesto makes several infused grappas that were out of this world! We had dinner reservations elsewhere, and had wished we'd eaten here, however, next dinner will definitely be here! The entire staff seemed very conscientious and... More
