Description: Capitol City Brewing Co. opened its doors in 1992 as the first brew pub in our nation's capitol since prohibition, thus giving its citizens and its many visitors the freedom to enjoy some of the finest hand-crafted beer in the country. On the front of our menu is the symbol of freedom, the Lady Liberty, a statue found atop our namesake, the United States Capitol. Nestled in the heart of Washington's rejuvenated downtown, this location has become a local landmark for celebrating great beer and food with family and friends. We have always taken great pride in our beer so come in and enjoy a cold pint of our very best and match it to one of the many menu selections tailored to the brews we serve.

My wife and I stooped here for dinner. We had been to another location, near Union Station, a few years ago and had a positive experience. Tonight was no exception. While the restaurant was busy with the after work crowd, our service was prompt. We had the reuben sandwich, and the fish and chips. There were a few large crowds... More

The monstrous hall really gives the feel of a working brewery. Meals are fine, beer of course. Considering the layout, it is not nearly as noisy as one might have expected. If you want to go a bit upscale (but not too much) from the (very good) food court in Union Station next door, this is a good choice, and... More

Went with coworkers and each of us tried something different. Generous portions so some shared. More

Lively sports bar in a convenient area of town. It was always very busy when we passed, usually a good sign. Had to wait about 15mins for a table but able to have one of their great brews while we waited. More

This restaurant was recommended by the staff at the hotel, but I found it to be just like every other bar/restaurant. The menu was boring. However, the service was very good. More

Bar food with class... good beer and great service. A huge highlight was the free soft pretzels that they give out with each meal. The friend green bean appetizers were really good too... the rest of the menu was pretty average but the variety of the food was great. We loved the beer, lots of variety with good flavor. Very... I stopped by Capitol city brewery after seeing an advertisement in a local tourist map. I had the reuben sandwich and the fantastic seasonal chery blossom ale. The service and atmosphere were good and I would drop by again if in the area to check out what interesting brews they might have next. More

The food is good, and the beer selection is also good. I still think it is about average, but you have to try it once. More

The food was great, the beer was great, and we loved the soft pretzels with horseradish mustard sauce that they serve in place of the usual bread and butter. We were in D.C for the just the weekend, and we ate here twice! More
