Description: Of all of our "native" food, barbecue is uniquely, authentically and gloriously All-American. Old Glory, located on historic M Street in Georgetown, captures the food, flavor and feel of the great barbecue restaurants of the United States, and offers representations of each styles of barbecue served in different parts of the country. "It looks like a rib joint, sounds like a rib joint and smells like one...most important, of course, the kitchen smokes fine barbecue," says the Washington Post. The huge barbecue pit, the open kitchen, and the 1901 Silver Dollar Four Winds hand-crafted bar, create lively, exciting atmosphere that is downright down-home.

Friendly and quick service even on a crowded evening with no reservation. Terrific for a total meat-out - I agree with others about the delicious pulled pork. Casual and lively atmosphere. More

BBQ bar/restaurant, nice atmosphere, old-fashioned decor with a Southern theme. Actually a great option for solo diners as they have a long bar you can eat at and a wide and interesting range of clientele. Pulled pork great, falling off the bone, well marinated and seasoned. Brisket the same. A good range of sides such as coleslaw, collard greens, sweet... More

My son and I went to Old Glory BBQ. I had the pulled pork platter with crispy sweet potatoes and cole slaw, The pulled pork was excellent - mild smoke flavor without all of the fat that is typically served with pulled pork, I was expecting sweet potatoe fries but instead it was of lightly crisped sweet potatoes that were... Visiting from California. Walked to this place from our hotel at the suggestion of our hotel restaurant list. We were looking for a good meal that wouldn't break us like the terrible meal we had the night before at the Capitol Grill. The ribs here fall off the bone and the flavor was great. Not too hot, but a little... More

The food was hot and delicious and you got to choose what type of BBQ sauce you wanted on it so there was no complaining if it was too mild or too hot!! It was a bit noisy upstairs but not too bad that you couldn't have a conversation. I think it was because our table was over a balcony... More

Great location on M Street. Serves a wide variety of BBQ meats, and some unusual side dishes, too. Also, a large variety of sauces are on the table, to compliment the different regional styles of bbq. A nice place for casual lunch or dinner. More

Not my cup of tea. It's all very okay. Better for the youngsters. I am too old for slight ever-present stench of old beer... More

Terrible!!! I thought that we would be safe with BBQ because it's not hard to mess up and te fact that the restaurant was packed made me believe that it would be good. Not so much... The service was not good. We waited for awhile after being seated to get waited on. Our food came out within 10 minutes so... More

Ok - so you need to go to Old Glory for the Memphis burger! It is a burger with pulled pork on top - and then you choose the type of BBQ sauce you put on the pulled pork. YUM! It was an excellent burger - and the BBQ sauce gave it a great kick! The service was friendly and... More
