Mother's Day evening (May 13), 8pm reservation made through Open Table. We sat down, received immediate attention for water and bread, but proceeded to wait almost 25 minutes for a waiter to arrive. Unable to get any attention from anyone walking by. No thanks. We left and barely received an "I'm sorry" from the hostess on our way out. More

Staff was largely unattentive. The dinner portions were puny ($37 for 3 oz of Halibut) and the waiter described to us the fantastic Dove Sole special but forgot to tell us it was $56. My guest deboned it herself!! Thanks but no thanks. More

We were a large group (over 10) and we were seated and served efficinatly. Although the wait time to be served was longer than average the waitstaff did a great job. The seafood was fresh and tastey. The preparation of the fishnand the side dishes was traditional and un- inspiring considering the cost. The presentation was boering. If you look... More

I had dinner here on a Tuesday night with business colleagues. The place was packed, but we were seated immediately for our 7: a.m. reservation. Here's the kind of attention to detail this place has: I arrived early and asked where the ladies room was. Instead of someone waving vaguely towards the back of the crowded restaurant, someone appeared to... More

There are other excellent places to get fish. I think this is overpriced. More

Oceanaire is really good, I generally don't enjoy restaurants that serve entrees separately from sides, but since I was with a large group it didn't bother me and got to try most of the sides. I ordered the crab cakes and I've had much better crab cakes and lower priced restaurants but I still enjoyed my meal and it was... More

We were gifted a meal by friends at this restaurant on our first night in DC. It was a perfect start to our break and a really nice experience in every way. The food and wine were both very impressive. We had sea bass/mixed seafood grill and swordfish but I am sure whatever you picked the food would be good.... More
