In D.C. For a meeting this week, we were lucky to get a reservation for lunch at this very popular spot. I had soft shell crab with spinach fritters in a lovely sauce and my husband had an oyster po boy with sweet potato fries and a tasty tartar sauce. The food was excellent, our server was delightful, and the...

This is my favorite restaurant for special occasions! I am never disappointed in the food! The chef has a new menu each week, so you will always have new delights to choose from. Just reading the menu opens a wonderful food encycopedia of food terms. My husband asks what is " Oolong broth, dolcetto jus, gribiche sauce?". Sometimes I know...

This is one you should keep on tap for out-of-town visitors expecting something upscale but a bit different. Check it out beforehand to work out where it is and whether/where to park. Excellent food, excellent wines, very good service considering that it is usually pretty full.

Stumbled in without resevation for brunch and after a short
wait was seated in the bar area. Had fabulous Smoked Salmon
and homemade bagels. It was so good we came back for
dinner and again for lunch. Each time the service and food
was wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant

Lots of cozy rooms with different decorations, including a fireplace if you have to wait. We had scheduled a mother-daughter late brunch and went directly to our table. We shared the asparagus fritta and the savory quiche and both were delicious.

If you go here for brunch, make sure to make reservations as the restaurant gets filled up quite quickly. People in DC just know that the Tabard Inn...

We had breakfast here. My first reaction is you need to schedule a few hours because the service is at a snails pace. I would say that the potatoes were the best item on my plate. The remainder of the food was good. The restaurant seemed very clean but again the long wait really took away from any other benefit here.
