Called in for a light lunch on a trip to Waiheke. Sat near the window and were blown away by the fantastic view - would love to return again one evening to see the lights of Auckland. Service was very pleasant and efficient. Our family of 3 chose three entree size plates to share with a bottle of Rose, and... More

Te Whau is located on Te Whau Bay on Waiheke Island on what is arguably one of the most superb settings on Waiheke. The approach and entrance and the cellar door at sunset is truly spectacular. What follows confused me marginally though. We had tasted some of the Te Whau food at the Taste of Auckland event in November and... More

We enjoyed a lovely 3 course dinner that was cooked to perfection, with a well thought out wine list to match. The service was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. In our opinion, right up there with the best Auckland has to offer. Highly recommended. More

Te Whau shone on spectacular Auckland day, with views to die for across the harbour to the city in the distance. A fabulous menu offered something for everyone, and all courses were delicious and presented with finesse. A faultless experience, even space for the helicopter to drop us to the door (or the Auckland ferries and Waiheke Island Taxis will... More

Great place to sit, sip on a beautiful wine (loved the rose - very unusual and NOT sweet) and watch the beach and water... with a nibbly plate of yummy stuff! More

Had dinner there on a Saturday evening a month ago. First off the setting is superb, high on the headland with near 360 degree views. Service was fast & friendly.superb wine list, & prices reasonable relative to similar quality places I have visited. The owner is very knowledgeable & also has a secret stash of wine not on the list,... More

I don't expect to feel rushed when I'm spending this much money. Staff are in-attentive and flustered which is such a shame! More

Interrupted a beautiful walk on Waiheke to have lunch here. Originally it was going to be a coffee stop but as you approach Te Whau vineyard, the ambience of the place gets to you and you have to sit down and indulge. We had the cheese and pate platter, a glass of wine ( one rose and one 2008 Te... More

My favorite place in waiheke. Watching the sun set over Auckland and the silhouette of rangitoto island is amazing. It's an open an airy place. Makes the most of the amazing views from its excellent vantage point. The kitchen is open and it's amazing to see the chef turn out such amazing food in such a tiny space! The service... More
