Right on the water, this old building has a nice mix of indoor and outdoor sitting pending on the weather conditions. We had a meal sitting both indoor and outside and enjoyed both meals intensely. Try to green lip mussels in white wine sauce and not be disappointed. Also a good selection of wines is on offer. More

After experiencing a dispointing main meal at another local restaurant decided to try The Trading Room for Desert, Port and Coffee. We were not disappointed!!! Lovely atmosphere, delicious deserts and friendly, attentive staff. Next time we visit Akaroa we have vowed to try for a main meal after eyeing the food being delivered to other tables. More

We have come back to Akaroa for our final night before heading home! We decided on trading Rooms as it looked the part but didn't deliver anywhere close to what we expected. My husband had the Lamb, not sure where they where they were going with it, but end result did not work! My beef was over cooked and did... More

My wife and I stayed in Akaroa for one night recently on a 2 week vacation to South Island and ate at The Trading Rooms for the one evening we were in town. I am writing this review after returning to Singapore and having experienced 2 weeks worth of meals in South Island. The restaurant overall is exceptionally well designed... More
