We dined here on our first night in New Zealand, we had read a trip advisor review and decided to try this petite restaurant. The food was great, the flavour combinations were well thought through and worked. I had the lamb and my partner had the chicken, both dishes were as described and delicious. The staff were friendly, attentive and... More

This is a great little restaurant with a delicious and unique menu. Easily one of the best meals we had on our trip. The serving portions were generous too! The restaurant has a fun, buzzing atmosphere, which is always good. Staff were friendly and acoomodating. More

Reading the TA reviews we really wanted to eat here if at all possible, but we couldn't book in advance as we didn't know when we would get to Akaroa, so were very pleased that someone else had just cancelled their reservation - their loss was our gain! It was all that we expected and more. Yes it is small... More

We dropped in to this charming spot for dinner with our two teenagers. Everyone loved their meal, the wine selection was terrific and dessert was spectacular. If you are in Akaroa- this spot is too good to miss! More

Perfect in everyway... It was fully-booked on a week nigh outside of the school holidays! It's tiny and honestly a bit cramped - negotiating the way to the toilet was an adventure in & of itself - so ensure that you book. The food is outstanding - it costs no more to eat here than anywhere else in Akaroa but... More

Amazing cuisine. Excellent service. We had a wonderful evening. It is cramped inside but that is the bistro style. Make sure you use les toilettes - or la biblioteque! More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Little Bistro. It was small and luckily we had reservations. The restaurant strives to use local food and products. They use olives from The Olive Grove in Akaroa. They had plenty of vegetarian options and my husband enjoyed his lamb. Service was excellent. More
