Hardly any veggie option, not to mention vegan. The pasta I ordered was * on a 5* scale. Can't understand the hype.

This is obviously a popular place. The place was full and buzzing with energy when we went in. We did not have a reservation, but were seated promptly. The service was efficient and friendly. The place had a funky, retro 70s, happening vibe, with really good music. The menu was varied and was a contemporary take on Hungarian traditional favourites....

We went to Menza based on other trip advisor reviews, and we were not disappointed. we had walked by it in the afternoon, and saw a huge crowd....and we understood why after drinks and dinner. The food is served beautifully and tastes as good as it looks.
The setting is in Franzblau Liszt Square.....I could not imagine a lovelier place...

a Budapest institution by now, Menza does not disappoint, perfect loaction, great ambiance, good (sometimes really good) service, a menu which takes Hungarian classics and turns them into delicious fusion dishes, the Aperol Spritz is always a hit, so is the wine list, overall a great place for lunch or dinner, my clear favorite in mine
on our first night in budapest the hotel recommeded this tavern since it was just a short walk for the Sofitel Hotel. the food was OK,, a little bland, the service was as expected.
It was my third time in Menza, and the last one. In February, we liked it so much, that we went twice. They had excellent choice of nice meals, including wild boar and deer. We liked food very much, and the restaurant looks great, but on the second night they charged us with a bootle of expensive wine, and we...

We went back to Menza twice during our trip. We loved the ambiance and the service. But most importantly, the food was delightful! Very innovative combination of flavours and blend of traditional with new. Unlike many restaurants we walked past, Menza was consistently full and in a very good sign, most diners were locals.
Cafe Menza is simply AMAZING. It is with ought doubt a five star establishment. We went twice on our week long holiday. On the first night I had the steak and steak chips with sauce, it was gorgeous the best steak I've ever had. My partner had the duck which was very good but a bit fatty. The waiting staff...

This place was popular but the music was very loud, hard to speak with others and I the menu was a bit to "adventures" for the chefs competence. I had a duck breast (execllent cooked) but it was server with strawberries and peppar and this "sauce" was neither good as sacuce nor complementing the duck.
Came to Menza for lunch. Food wasn't exiting. while the garlic cream sup was ok, duck liver was served under the layer of cold fat. This would have been nice if you spread it on warm bred to let fat melt. However the bred wasn't warm at all.
Worst still was the service. Once they brought you your food it...
