We came here as a result of the Tripadvisor recommendation. We were not disappointed. Managed to sit outside although it was bit chilly. They provide shawl like blankets in the evenings so that was fine. Food was great we both had the veal medallions which were the special and it was very tender and quite awesome. So ambience and service... More

If you are looking for an amazing restaurant with gastronomic food and a kind service, this is definitely the place to go! The food was the best I've had during my stay in Budapest and the fares were very reasonable (35 Euro/person for 1 starter, main dish, wine & water). I would highly recommend this restaurant during your visit in... More

Budapest has a reputation for good eating and seems to have a number of restaurants serving what might be called "Modern Hungarian"- creative dishes, incorporating influences from other cuisines, and everything served with wonderful wine. Borkonyha is one of the best examples of this: very classy but not formal; great service; very well prepared food. As an example, we had... More

A great evening out and a good experience. The food was delicious, we really enjoyed was we ordered. Good choice of wines. Great setting, attentive staff and good value for money. The steak was tasty. The only negative was the load Americans. Overall an enjoyable experience.

A recent winner(2011) of the now defunct Time Out in Budapest. I am happy to have finally eaten and drunk wine at this fine establishment. I also celebrated my late mother's 101st birthday and a late great aunt's 100th. The menu selection is far smaller than most Budapet restaurants that offer page after page after page of choices. What they... More

Budapest is full with high class restaurants, fancy places with great food and wine. However the most important ingredient of a restaurant for me is its soul... And this place meets my standards. In every aspect of the European taste and hospitality they provide an excellent service with the inevitable chic and great atmosphere! No matter what kind of reason... More

A very popular restaurant. We were there on a Monday night and it was packed. Reservation is definitely a must. The atmosphere was friendly and energetic, the food was really good, and plenty of wine to choose from. A bit pricier than expected.
