We were quite a large group (9 p.) and all dishes were just great. A combination of traditional and high quality ingredients prepared with a quite elegant and modern way that made the dinner experience a very relaxing and enjoyable one. With wine, starters, main course, desserts, coffee, ... it was less than $40 pp (in local currency). The bread... More

This is the best restaurant we've been to in Budapest. They change the menu everyday and suggest you original plates. The restaurant itself is also very nice, nearby the fourseasons hotel. And the staff is very helpful and smilling. Excellent choice a part from the fact that its a bit pricey for Budapest (55euro/pers for 3 courses and wine) More

Very friendly service. High quality and special (homemade) sausage, pate, salads. Very special and sophisticated (French) cheeses. Highly recommended. More

A tip from a Hungarian friend and a very good tip indeed. We felt lucky to come across this place. Very welcoming and friendly service with a good knowledge of food and wine. Very relaxed atmosphere. Apart from one dish (the tuna, which was not bad, just not very special), the food was surprising, with unusual ingredients and of excellent... More

It was one of those situations where you just happen to be at the right place. My wife and were looking for a place to eat when along came Mak. To our delight, it turned out to be a great bistro that serves excellent food. It's a place you must go for a meal or two if you are in... More

We discovered Mak Bistro through the web. Then "liked" on Facebook and "followed" on Twitter. It was our first dining experience on a return visit to Budapest and did not disappoint. The menu changes daily and is always what is in season and fresh at the market. We were also lucky enough to be there for a special 14 course... More

Just had lunch in MAK Bistro, that is pretty close to my office. It was a lovely surprise. The ambience and the decoration are cool, and the staff are very friendly and efficient (english speaking) and make you feel cosy right away. We opted for the daily menu (2 courses, appr. 10 EUR excl. service) and it worth every penny.... More

My husband and I had lunch at MAK within the past month. What a delicious surprise! I wish we had planned on going for a larger meal because what we sampled was perfect. The service and decor were great as well. The prices seemed high, but then we realized that back home in NY we would be paying much more... More

Last time I took French friends to Mák, and not just simple frenchies, but real eaters. They were just amazed by the service (one of the waiters had a perfect French accent), by the food (and we just ate the lunch menu) and by the design. I was also amazed by the price of the wine, but it was chosen... More
