Really enjoyed getting in a bit earlier before it filled up; the band was just starting and we okay (seemed to be fairly young musicians but were still quite good and had a good handle on the traditional songs!). Portions are very generous, and food is absolutely great!! Definitely enjoyed my pork loin with the local sheep's cheese and wild... More

Highly recommended if you're looking for good Polish food and highland cottage atmosphere. Prices slightly higher than in cheap self-serve places in Krupowki but worth it! We payed 63zl (£13) for a massive meal for 2 and couple of cold delicious beers. Only my grandma makes pierogi as good as theirs!

During my stay in Zakopane we have tried several resturants but this one was finally good. I must say If you go there you should be happy. Service was good and quick, food was also better than expected (no so fat and oil related).

We ate two meals here while in Zakopane. Don't be discouraged if it seems like your server is ignoring you and not taking your order right away--look to it as a Polish cultural experience! Both times we went here, the food came out promptly, even though we had to wait a bit to order. Solid spinach pierogis (16 PLN) and... More

we realy loved food here- my kwasnica and grilled oscypek were perfect. we also loved chicken with spinach.we were waiting pretty long for service and for our bill. Atmosphere is great, local music and nice interior.its a litle bit more expensive than in other places around.

We were travelling 1 week before Easter so it was quiet season and we had the pick of the restaurants as they were all nearly empty. We chose Staro Izba (my wife and I) because the music was playing gently and the waitress was very friendly and dressed in full goral outfit. Many places offer something similar but the food... More

We went for lunch and sat downstairs close to the kitchen. The food and drinks were great. Food a bit more expensive here as it was right on the high street but large portions made up for it!

Nice decor and ambiance in this small centrally located Restaurant. Good rustic food but pace of service was so slow by the time main courses arrived we were no longer bothered. Shame as quality of food was good - just needs more staff.
