Just back from our second dinner at Starka in the past 3 days. This is really a wonderful restaurant that offers good food, great friendly service and a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Unmissible is also tasting the various flavoured vodkas with the pear one our personal favourite. All of this is complemented with really competitive prices which makes Starka an unmissible... More

Wandering around the Kazimierz section of Krakow, I began to feel disappointment looking at the menus displayed in front of the restaurants I passed. I knew what I was looking for, a high quality traditional Polish meal, All I saw were expensive attempts to draw in international tourists. Then, I saw a red awning, and reading what was offered, I... More

On a Wednesday night in May, we went to Starka - having read good reviews at trip advisor, we hoped for them to be true - and they were. Nicely priced and perfectly served - accompanied by the home-made vodkas after dinner - you should go there! Hereby; recommended!

Krakow is a wonderful city for walking, particularly in Old Town and Kazimierz with its restored synagogues, churches and numerous coffee shops. Based upon the advice of North American tourists I met wandering in Kazimierz I walked to the Starka Restaurant at 14 Jozefa Street. It was easy to spot with its red awning near the western end of the... More

We came here on our first night thanks to TripAdvisor. It's in Kazimierz which is a little off the beaten track, down a few slightly dodgy backstreets - but vibrant, exciting and we encountered no trouble at all. Great Polish food and home made vodka!

This was our best eating experience in Krakow. Everything from ambience to service to staff was excellent, well done Gabriel and Margaret, your service was beyond the usual. The food was of an excellent standard and piping hot. I would highly recommend this Restaurant, the night we had there was perfect.

I have been to Starka 3 times during my business trips to Krakow and it never failed to please me. It looks like a cosy pub where to drink a good beer, but the kitchen is the best suprise. Good european food, well prepared and presented, and friendly staff. The owner is a Milan fan, so if you're an italian... More
